Born and raised in the small town of Kitimat, BC, Shailinder moved to Vancouver to study Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University.

After watching a documentary on the lack of vision care in developing countries, Dr Bhullar was inspired to work in the field of Optometry.  He later studied Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.  Dr. Bhullar completed various externships in several different modes of practice and it was there that he began his focuse on dry eyes and complex contact lens fits.

As a passionate spokesperson for Optometry, Dr. Bhullar has been featured in various radio, tv and print media outlets to educate the public about eye and vision care.  Additionally, Dr. Bhullar uses his expertise to conduct free vision screenings and health fairs for various camps in around the world.

Besides Dr Bhullar’s interest in Optometry, he is also an award winning dancer in Bhangra, a certified Kundalina Yoga instructor, an avid hiker and kayaker, and involved with several organizations from a volunteer role to board level participation.


20150215_154429Dr Saggu began his career as a volunteer at Look Optometry shadowing Dr Bhullar.  After graduating from the College of Optometry at Pacific University in 2015, Dr Saggu returned to Look Optometry to begin his professional career.

Dr Saggu is a thought leader in the world of Optometry and has a passion for dry eyes, contact lense fits and retina disease.

In his time away from the office, you can catch Dr Saggu with his wife and new puppy.  Othewise, he will be at the gym and playing hockey.


vanessa_optom_picDr Vanessa Wang is an optometrist that grew up in Toronto, Ontario and after completing her Doctorate of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 2008, has journeyed back west to her birthplace of Surrey, B.C.

Dr Wang specializes in pediatrics and can speak 4 languages!


Manpreet Gill joined Look Optometry 4 years ago. Manpreet was born in Birmingham, England. At an early age she moved to Surrey, where she currently resides. She is pursuing a forensics degree at BCIT. As a member of the Look Optometry team, she is eager to learn and grow in her role as patient care coordinator.

Manpreet is genuinely interested in the well-being and happiness of her patients. She strives to provide each patient with an exceptional experience tailored specifically to their needs.


Gurpreet is a fitness enthusiast who has an avid interest in physical activity and injury management. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University in 2015; As a registered Kinesiologist, she has the knowledge in human movement to assist patients in coping with their injuries and helping patients at Look Optometry with better eating habits. By sharing her personal experiences in training she hopes to motivate others to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle as well. In her spare time she loves to bake, read, and, spend time with her family and friends and hit the gym!


Naomi Mananzan is one of the newest members of Look Optometry. She was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, and moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2013. She is accomplishing her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at Langara College.

Naomi shares her passion and love with people by guiding our patients from their first point of contact until their next appointment at Look Optometry. She highly believes that having a good relationship with patients is worth a long lasting companionship. She greets and leaves everyone with a smile, and has a genuine affection for kids. She provides the utmost care by attending to patients’ needs and concerns and pre-testing them before seeing the doctor.
